Testing Methodology

Maintained by Daniel Carter · Updated September 25, 2026

  1. Record Windows edition, build, architecture and account type.
  2. Record application name, version, publisher and install source.
  3. Back up representative data and create a suitable recovery option.
  4. Test the normal uninstaller before forced-removal paths.
  5. Review proposed remnants by path and ownership instead of deleting all results.
  6. Restart when requested and validate dependent software afterward.

Hardware, policies, security products and third-party uninstallers vary. A tested workflow is evidence for the recorded configuration, not a guarantee for every PC.
